The world market for microelectronics is growing permanently. The scientist Siegfried Selberherr has devoted himself entirely to this topic and is researching the modeling and simulation of physical phenomena. Selberherr studied electrical engineering at the Vienna University of Technology, and after his habilitation he was a visiting scientist at Bell Laboratories in the USA. He then headed the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at the Vienna University of Technology. As a member of the inter-university advisory board of the IFA-Tulln, he played a major role in the foundation of the University and Research Center Tulln.
Siegfried Selberherr and his team have published over 400 articles in journals and books and more than 1,200 publications in conference proceedings.
