Call for submissions

The organizers of the Exner Lectures are calling for submissions for a poster session “Milestones for a Future Worth Living”. It will take place at this year’s Exner Lectures 2025 (Registration), held in honor of 2025 Exner Laureate Sepp Hochreiter — a true pioneer of AI. We are looking for innovative technological, social, democratic or societal proposals and solutions to shape our world into a place worth living in. Locally and globally.

What we are looking for

• Abstract (max. 300 words) exploring forward‑looking topics — with particular encouragement for submissions in social, cultural, humanistic sciences, and arts, and interdisciplinary fields
• Open to students, doctoral candidates, postdocs – participation is free of charge
• Accepted submissions grant free access to the Exner Lectures

• Deadline for abstracts: November 12, 2025
• Poster presentation will take place during the Exner Lectures on November 19, 2025
• Venue: Palais Eschenbach, Vienna
• Poster format: portrait A0, print
• The best posters in each category will receive a reward!
